We are seeking a reliableHGV 1 Driverto start working for our clientASAP.
Hours & Salary
- Day shift available (5am - 7am & 7am - 10am start times)
- Night shift available
- £16.00 per hour DOE
- Monday - Friday working
- Weekends may be available
- Ad hoc hours
- Christmas hours
- Temporary / permanent hours
- Must be willing to drive Class 2 and Van if Class 1 not needed on odd days
Responsibilities
- Responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
- Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery according to schedule.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, road conduct, and customer service.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
- Familiarity with delivery driving practices and logistics operations.
- Must Have at least 6 month HGV 1 driving experience
